Downers Grove, IL -- UPP Business Systems, LLC, a leading provider of IT solutions nationwide, announced today the presentation of a Performance Award from the U.S. Air Force, Maxwell Air Force Base, Gunter Annex for Unisys Information Technology services in relation to CAMS.

CAMS is the Core Automated Maintenance System used by more than 100,000 aircraft, missile, communications and electronics, and support equipment maintainers at 78 US installations around the world.

UPP Consultant, Bob Ralph, assigned to the USAF, Gunter Annex, Montgomery, Alabama, received a CAMS Software Performance Award late last year.

An integral part of the CAMS Central Database (CDB) Team, Mr. Ralph has been critical to completing a Proof of Concept for the project, having developed the Unisys RDBMS portion of the CAMS CDB.

This was a "new area for the team," wrote a principal Software Project Manager, in recognition of Mr. Ralph's efforts, and he "stepped up to the plate and got the job done."

The "award is not given lightly," he continued, and "[Bob Ralph] deserves it immensely.

In addition to playing a leading role as a CAMS Functional Analyst on the Proof of Concept project, Mr. Ralph is credited with assisting in the evaluation of tools for modernization.

"He's an important part of our team," wrote the Project Manager. "[And] I'm glad to take this opportunity to pass on our appreciation."

Currently assigned as a CAMS Functional Analyst at Gunter Annex, Bob Ralph has been an UPP Business Systems Consultant since 1999.

He was previously assigned to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Social Services, where he designed new programs for automating eligibility determination for Federal reimbursement for more than 15,000 foster care children throughout Virginia.
