St. Petersburg, Florida
St. Petersburg, affectionately referred to as St. Pete or the Sunshine City, is the fourth largest city in Florida, encompassing 58 square miles. St. Pete enjoys year round sunshine, with an average of 361 sunny days a year and average temperature of 73.7 degrees Fahrenheit. There are 234 miles of shoreline available for recreation and relaxation along Tampa Bay, Boca Ciega Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico Intracoastal Waterway in close proximity to St. Petersburg - the drive from downtown to Gulf beaches is a mere ten minutes. The city also offers a variety of entertainment, from an assortment of museums and other places of cultural interest to professional sports (in nearby Tampa).
