St. Louis, Missouri
St. Louis is a large city adorned with red brick, cobblestone streets, terra cotta friezes, and stained glass, giving it a unique feel. The city is home to Forest Park, larger than New York's Central Park, and former site of the 1904 World's Fair. Forest Park is home to the St. Louis Art Museum, the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Science Center, and the Municipal Theater among other cultural and educational institutions, as well as several lakes. There is also a riverfront district, featuring additional entertainment opportunities, including riverboat casinos, restaurants, shops and the Gateway Arch Park, which surrounds the famous Gateway Arch. More than 600 feet tall, the Gateway Arch is hollow inside, offering visitors a tram ride to the top, and a spectacular view of greater metropolitan St. Louis and the Mississippi River.
