A diverse range of clients have depended on UPP to support their Internet/intranet and firewall systems, including server design, configuration, installation, administration and security in various UNIX and Windows environments. For a worldwide distributor, UPP consultants setup and administer Sun Solaris, Sun hardware, and Gauntlet Firewalls,
which secure corporate Internet access and private networks between business partners and international locations (Case Study). UPP staff is responsible for the setup, configuration, administration and monitoring of Web servers and firewalls for a major food manufacturing company's enterprise operations, including upgrading to CheckPoint Firewall for more robust performance, and establishing a paging system to provide alerts in the event of firewall breakdown using Microsoft and other Web servers as well as Perl. UPP has provided a team of Web server administrators for day-to-day maintenance of
nine Sun Netscape Enterprise Servers in support of a retailer's .com Group, providing primarily remote support of NES and Sun UNIX, including responsibility for administration, security, load balancing, etc. UPP is also providing high-end Web intrusion detection services to one of the largest IT services companies, including Tivoli management, configuration and management of WebSphere, Portal, WebSeal integration, LDAP, SSL, session management, etc.
