Unisys Modernization
UPP has assisted government, military and commercial clients with business systems modernization from legacy to client-server to Web technologies. UPP is working with a state government on the client-server migration of Unisys 2200 MAPPER and COBOL social services applications to Oracle, Oracle Financials, SQL Server and MS Access, including all aspects of lifecycle development as well as business and functional analysis, mainframe and client-server DBA work and project management. And for a law enforcement agency in the same state, UPP has been involved in Web-enabling and maintaining a Unisys criminal history system using COOL:Ice and developing and maintaining a related Web site using PHP and MySQL on Linux (Case Study). UPP is also supporting the U.S. government's business systems modernization imitative at several U.S. military locations. This includes Web-enabling a Unisys 2200 maintenance system using HTML, JavaScript and Java with Unisys WebTS as the Web server (Case Study). Additionally, for a second U.S. military client, UPP has been working with internal staff to replace existing legacy mapping systems with Oracle and ultimately SAP, including supporting and modifying Unisys A-Series systems, developing a Web site for the facility and its customers using HTML and JavaScript with Oracle, creating Web-based forms for customers seeking map information, and assisting with requirements and gap analysis in preparation for the move to SAP (Case Study).
