Unisys LINC
UPP provides support for some of the largest LINC application development efforts in the United States. An UPP team is responsible for re-design from COBOL and development of a LINC-based claims processing system using LINC and LDAIII in an A-Series environment, for an independent health care administrator. UPP provides Unisys LINC resources to a container manufacturer, supporting various legacy applications, and also assisting with Unisys conversions to Oracle Manufacturing and J.D. Edwards. UPP consultants additionally support a global multi-channel retailer, maintaining Unisys LINC and COBOL systems for order management, warehousing and accounting and making enhancements for international and Internet marketing. For government, UPP is responsible for developing an A-Series LINC unemployment benefits system for a Southern state and then Beta testing the system for conversion to LINCII on a Unisys
2200. UPP consultants performed an extensive evaluation of a Rocky Mountain city's new third-party developed LINC system, including code review, database entity mapping (ERwin), relationship mapping, database normalization, load balancing, etc. as well as its Unisys 2200 environment. And, UPP staff have been providing Unisys LINC support
to a public water and power utility, including maintenance and enhancement of finance and accounting systems as well as development of an Oracle Web system for Internet query and chart presentation of data in the Unisys LINC systems.
