Unisys A-Series
UPP consultants have designed and developed new, and modified/enhanced and maintained existing Unisys A-Series LINC and COBOL systems for warehouse management/inventory, health claims processing, sales and marketing, manufacturing,
EDI, financial/accounting, hospital support, etc. For a Midwestern county government, UPP staff provides remote support for tax and assessment systems in a Unisys A-Series environment using COBOL, CANDE, WFL, COMS. For a state government in the South, UPP is responsible for modifying, testing, and debugging several sub-systems of a child health care system in an A-19 environment with COBOL and DMSII. And, for a U.S. military agency in the East, UPP provides support for an automated defense mapping system, assists with Unisys A-Series and ClearPath systems upgrades and migrations, and is involved in automating map-related functionality for the Web as part of the U.S. government's modernization initiative (Case Study). In the private sector, UPP has assisted many clients in various industries with Unisys A-Series to client-server migrations. This has included working with a major e-retailer to develop A-Series DMS/COBOL and MQ-Series interfaces in replacement of legacy EDI and FTP processes, and developing interfaces between Unisys DMS and client-server UNIX Oracle for their warehouse management system.
