Unisys 2200
UPP has been called upon to support a wide variety of projects involving Unisys 1100/2200 and subsequently ClearPath environments, from large government sites to many of the country's largest public corporations. For the U.S. military, UPP consultants are working with a team to develop the Unisys RDBMS portion of a critical system with more than 100,000 users, including involvement with the schema analysis, loading data, designing copy procedures, testing, etc. (Case Study) For a U.S. government agency, UPP staff assisted, from a DBA perspective, with the consolidation of ten computing
centers from Unisys 2200 mainframes to two Unisys 4800 ClearPath machines. At the state level, UPP has also been working with an Eastern seaboard state government to provide Unisys 2200 support services for various social services, law enforcement and personnel systems, including legacy to client-server to Web migration. In the private
sector, UPP consultants have assisted one of the world's largest airlines with new development, maintenance and enhancement of various mission-critical systems in a Unisys 2200 environment using DMS, COBOL, DML, ECL, etc. as well as MASM. And again in air travel, UPP has analyzed, developed and is responsible for maintenance of an airfare pricing system using MASM and FORTRAN on a Unisys 2200 for a leading provider of global information to the air transport industry.
