Internet/Intranet/Extranet Support
From Web site design, development, and deployment to intranet lifecycle application development and e-commerce, UPP provides resources to public and private entities coast to coast. UPP consultants are responsible for designing and implementing a Web-based award tracking system, built on 3-tier architecture using Java with WebSphere and Oracle on Windows NT, for a state government client. For another state government, UPP consultants are assisting with the customization of an Internet-based state immunization tracking system using primarily ASP and JavaScript with Oracle
database under Windows 2000 (Case Study). For the U.S. military, company resources are responsible for Web-enabling a Unisys system used by more than 100,000 aircraft, missile, communications and electronics, and support equipment maintainers stationed at U.S. installations around the world, including building a Web front end using HTML, JavaScript and Java with Unisys WebTS as the Web server, developing various enhancements and supporting the system (Case Study). In the private sector, representative experience includes leading efforts to port existing proprietary applications from MS-Access to SQL Server/Oracle for e-commerce and remote application monitoring through an extranet, including involvement in every stage of the project from selecting the technologies and revamping a Web site to setting up and maintaining the new Web server for a Fortune 500 provider of prepared foods.
