Java/J2EE Development
UPP has extensive experience in Java development, including J2EE, J2SE, JSPs, Servlets, Applets, Beans and EJBs, and other such Java technologies and tools. For a U.S. military agency, UPP is working with a team on Web application development in connection with a military Web site using Java, JSP, Servlets, Applets, XML along with SQL and some UNIX Shell scripting under HP-UX with Oracle 9iAS and iPlanet. For a West Coast-based manufacturer and distributor of sporting apparel, an UPP team is working on WindChill application development using Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets as well
as XML and SQL again with Oracle as the database (Case Study). For a distributor of food products, UPP staff are engaged in an object-oriented programming Web development project in support of the client's remote sales staff, using Java, J2EE, J2SE, EJBs along with Visual Basic and SQL with Oracle 8i/9i and MS Access on the back end. For a global distributor of recreational beverages, UPP is assisting with the migration of transportation and distribution systems to an n-tier, object-oriented environment using Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets with VisualAge for Java and JBuilder tools. Additionally, as part of a U.S. government project, UPP consultants are responsible for Java application development as well as Web server administration using Java, J2EE, Servlets, JDBC with JDeveloper and Oracle 9iAS.
