UPP consultants have distinguished themselves as experts in building decision support systems and data warehouses using ERwin, Oracle Designer Tools and System Architect. For a West Coast government client, UPP personnel are involved in data architecture and modeling from 70+ source systems to a new data warehouse, including data management of SQL Server. For a second government client, UPP is involved in the design of a data warehouse to track and report to the U.S. government felons receiving public assistance, including converting from Unisys tape to SQL Server and reporting using MS Access with SQL Server DTS for automation. For an equipment manufacturer, UPP resources constructed and also maintain financial Sybase databases for OLTP and OLAP system and data warehouse, including DBA activities, extensive customization using PowerBuilder/Sybase, and backup and recovery across global networks. For a multi-national conglomerate in the entertainment industry, UPP is responsible for supporting real-time OLTP and data warehouse projects using Oracle 9i, including all aspects of administration, monitoring and troubleshooting. Additionally, an UPP team is responsible for the development of staging, EDW, and data mart models for use with COGNOS, for one of North America's largest truckload transportation and logistics companies.
